CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM), the nation’s number one distributed retail mortgage lender, the Cleveland Browns, and the Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT), joined forces to honor local disabled Veterans by hosting a family-fun cornhole tournament and recreation day at Cleveland Browns Stadium in recognition of Military Appreciation Month.
Military Appreciation Month is nationally recognized in May, honoring those past and present who serve our country. Disabled Veterans from Northeast Ohio were invited to the Cleveland Browns Stadium to participate in the special event. Guests competed in a cornhole tournament, participated in additional adaptive recreational activities, and enjoyed comradery with other Veterans and their families.
“The American dream of homeownership wouldn’t be possible without the selfless service of those in our U.S. Armed Forces,” said Laura Soave, Chief Brand Officer, CCM. “While we can never repay these brave men and women for their sacrifices, it is an honor to partner with local organizations to show our support through community events like this one today.”
NEOPAT is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting patriotism and remembering those who have lost their lives fighting for our freedoms. The organization provides emergency assistance, educational scholarships, employment assistance, and other resources to support local Military Members and families.
“We’re thankful for the generosity and support of organizations like CrossCountry Mortgage and the Cleveland Browns who make opportunities like this possible,” said Greg Renkas, Executive Director of NEOPAT. “This event was a special opportunity for
local Veterans to come together and have some fun.”
“We were proud to partner with CrossCountry Mortgage on this event to support our local Veteran community,” said Haslam Sports Group Vice President of Community Relations, Jenner Tekancic. “We respect and admire these Servicemembers and their loved ones for their continued commitment to our country.”
CCM’s commitment to the Military extends year-round. The company proudly employs nearly 250 Veterans and offers VA loans as part of its lending portfolio. The company looks forward to continuing these commitments in the year ahead.
